Business Acquisitions

Buying businesses where the improvement is operational rather than speculative.

Our acquisition thesis

We look for established businesses with real customers and cash flow where performance is being held back by something identifiable: no management information, unmanaged pricing, weak collections, a single dependent customer, or an owner who has been running it alone for a long time.

Those are problems that respond to attention. They are also the reason such businesses are often available at a reasonable entry price.

Situations we look at

  • Retirement and succession sales
  • Owners who want to step back but not fully exit
  • Businesses that have outgrown their systems
  • Underinvested but profitable operations
  • Non-core divisions being disposed of
  • Businesses needing recapitalisation

For owners considering a sale to us

We will tell you early whether the opportunity fits, rather than tying up a business for months. If it does fit, we will set out an indicative structure and the diligence we would need before any commitment.

Start a confidential conversation

Whether you are preparing to sell, looking to acquire, raising capital or trying to lift the value of a business you already own, the first step is a short, confidential discussion about the situation.
